The mission of the Wenatchee Rotary Foundation is to improve educational opportunities for citizens living in the Greater Wenatchee area. Funding for the foundation is through immediate and deferred giving from current and past Wenatchee Rotary Club members. Each club member in good standing is also a member of the Foundation. Your foundation is managed by a nine member board of directors elected by the club membership.
Since the establishment of the Wenatchee Rotary Foundation in 1980, the Foundation has awarded numerous student scholarships and supported various projects in the community deemed worthy of meeting educational objectives. Two separate funds have been established in the Foundation, these being the Annual Fund and the Paul Scea Fund.
The Annual Fund supports educational programs and projects as requested by individuals and organizations within the community. These projects must meet the goals and objectives as well as the charitable tax exempt status of the Foundation.
The Paul Scea Fund (permanent fund) supports academic programs where students are enrolled in formal educational and/or degree oriented programs through the award of renewable scholarships to high school students in the Wenatchee area for enrollment at Wenatchee Valley College and other higher education institutions and technical schools.
Rotarians are encouraged to contribute to the Foundation. "An economic investment in education is an investment for life" with many times the return to the community. Even a suggested amount of $100 annually from each member will achieve our goals in the support of our youth.
Our local foundation is a tax exempt 501(c)(3) charitable organization. All donations by check should be made out to Wenatchee Rotary Foundation. Members contributing a total of $500 become eligible for the Paul Scea Award.
By making a gift through your will, a bequest directed to the Wenatchee Rotary Foundation permanent fund, you can continue your leadership towards a better community beyond your lifetime. Such a bequest contributes to a solid funding base that will benefit the Foundation's programs in perpetuity.
