She will present a brief history of Alatheia with facts on the people served and why the mission and work is important. She will discuss Rotary’s March event - Raise the Paddle at the Toast and Roast - and the impact the funds raised will have on the participants they serve, programs offered and volunteers that make it all possible.
Alatheia Therapeutic Riding Center was founded in 2011 by Glenn and Nancy Grette. In June of that year the center opened its doors to 12 riders with special needs using three amazing fjord horses and about 25 enthusiastic volunteers. Many of those original participants still ride and volunteer at Alatheia today!
Between the therapeutic and adaptive riding programs, Alatheia serves a wide variety of special needs. Ranging in age from 3 to 93 our riders may have a learning disability, genetic disorder, traumatic brain injury, cerebral palsy, stroke, autism, or epilepsy.
Make plans to attend on Thursday to hear from Nancy Grette on growth of Alatheia and how our Toast and Roast fundraiser will help with their mission.

UPDATES.
President Jill gave an update on Allan Galbraith. He is on the path to recovery but not as quickly as he would like. Alan is taking a break from some of the treasurer duties while he recovers. Feel free to reach out to Allan to connect with him.
The Wenatchee Rotary Club is looking for a member to step up and serve on the Club Board of Directors. With the resignation of Sean Cooper, the club needs someone to fill the remainder of his term. His term expires June of 2024. This is a great opportunity to test drive a board position and impact the direction of the club. Interested parties should contact Jill Leonard. Our next board meeting is Thursday, January 12 at 4:30. This is open to any member to attend.
NEW MEMBERS. Our club kicked off the new year with 2 mew member inductions. James Pumphrey, sponsored by Dawn Davies and Linda Anderson, sponsored by Clover Simon. Were inducted with an excellent charge delivered by Past President Phil (Raz) Rasmussen - Watch the short video here.
