As a veterinarian specializing in aquaculture who manages fish health at a number of local salmon hatcheries managed by Douglas County PUD, our speaker will discuss issues related to Fish Medicine, which has long been an underserved and largely unknown specialty within veterinary practice, but also how it is a vitally important component of the management of aquatic species.

Katie was introduced by her friend and sponsor PP Kory Kalahar. Those who were present for this talk will agree and confirm that this was a classic, a rare experience. It was a powerful, captivating, and emotional ride through the amazing life of this young woman, including her major contribution to the startup of our WHS Interact Club.
She reviewed all the wonderful globe-trotting adventures she enjoyed in her early life, followed by the horrible depths she has endured since becoming infected with "Long COVID" in March 2020 while living near Broadway in NYC. Her life was "turned upside down".
Now she is a member of the club which sponsored her Youth Exchange to France in 2006-07 and is serving on the Board of Directors. Her future now is wrapped up in Rotary, and she is writing a book. We are honored and excited to have Katie in this club.
Her host family, Jacky and Francoise Cafe, shown below, joined in on ZOOM for Katie's presentation, illustrating the concern for her, as well as the long-lasting devotions which occur with Rotary Youth Exchange. A few of Katie's images are shown below, but you can see them all by watching the video recording.
Katie's host family Jacky et Francoise Chef, posted this ZOOM chat for us: "Bonsoir depuis Nancy France. Bravo Katie."
