The speakers, all club members, were introduced by President Kory, who began with a summary of our greatest projects over the last 100 years. This first HYBRID/ZOOM meeting was opened on April 01 (with no jokes) and led by president Kory Kalahar, as he welcomed all members. A total of 36 members attended, including 14 who were in person at the Pybus Market Events Center. Thomas Everly did a masterful job ensuring seamless technological success, with much help from the excellent Pybus staff.
Blood Drive competition. Wenatchee Confluence Rotary is organizing a Cinco de Mayo blood drive at Pybus Public Market and we thought it would be fun to challenge other area Rotary clubs to see which group can donate the most blood. In addition to bragging rights, we will have a fun trophy (fresh off the 3-D printer) you can take back to your club! They will be raffling off $50 Pybus bucks that will go to a random donor that day. Sign up to donate HERE.

Final thoughts. Not so Stupid Things that Kory has done! Another not so stupid thing that I have done is waiting tables, serving and bartending! All through WVC, Central for my BA, WSU for post grad studies and even my ten years of teaching, I always still waited tables on the side.
Serving allowed me to support myself through college and then my young family as a teacher enjoy more that life had to offer and since I was continuing my education all through those years too, I could pay for school as I went. I finally gave up waiting tables in 2007 when I became Assistant Principal at WHS.
