WEEK IN REVIEW -  NOVEMBER 14
    HAND IN HAND IMMIGRATION SERVICES)
With Norma Gallegos (Director) & Vania Winters (Exec. Director)

The meeting was opened by President Mike Kintner, who made or allowed the announcements below before introducing Dawn Davies who introduced the main speaker Norma Gallegos (former member, greatly missed).  Norma reviewed all the services below provided by her organization.  LISTEN HERE to the presentation.  Norma later introduced the executive director, Vania Winters, who was once a Rotary GSE participant.

Hand in Hand Immigration Services is a trusted place where immigrants can get accurate, up-to-date information on the citizenship process and clarification of their particular requirements for citizenship. Legal assistance is conducted by case workers who have been accredited by the Department of Justice (DOJ).  Watch video

What we provide -

• A physical location where people can get information and guidance.

• Individual, confidential, one-on-one guidance through the required paperwork.

• A significant cost reduction that offers incentive for individuals to apply for citizenship.

• Free classes that prepare students for the citizenship test and interview, and teach civics.

• A support system that will encourage and motivate immigrants to be active in the community.

Already a citizen?

You can get involved with our programs as a volunteer or donor.  Hand in Hand has assisted more than 1500 people in becoming United States Citizens over the last 7 years.  Hand in Hand Immigration Services, the first founded Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA) site recognized in North Central Washington by the Department of Justice since 2015.  Bilingual Bicultural Program Director / BIA Accredited Representative Norma Gallegos has been a community leader not only in the Wenatchee and East Wenatchee, but also participates and coordinates the involvement of family in the advocacy for Kids through Seattle Children's Alliance in Olympia, WA.  As a bilingual spokesperson for the organizations she represents, Gallegos  serves on several boards. Among those are the Holden Village Born in Mexico and raised in Kansas she lives in the Wenatchee Area for almost 30 years. Gallegos is passionate about strengthening our community relations as she believes that we all have equal participation in learning from each other.
