Jodi was introduced by her sponsor PP Pete Van Well, noting that he makes a point of befriending all of the bakers in town, but insisted she has been easy to befriend for many years. She is the CakeChic and a Food Network star. She will be helping with our next auction.
Born and raised in Wenatchee, she has owned Cake chic studios in Wenatchee for about 12 years, which she started on a whim with her mother-in-law when they made cup cakes for Apple Blossom.
Her business features specialty cakes such as for weddings. She began working with Food Network in 2015. Soon she will be a judge on the show Duff Vs. Buddy (preferring to be behind the scenes). Thomas was able to display some of her product photos. She answered lots of questions about her recent celebrity experiences. She promised to keep us informed on broadcast schedules.
Jodi joined the club February 06, 2020, sponsored by PP Pete Van Well, joining just as the pandemic hit us. She has two grand children. She and her husband built a large house that they can share with their daughter and her family.
Our second HYBRID/ZOOM meeting was opened on April 08 and led by president-elect Alice Meyer, as she welcomed members and guests (standing in for President Kory Kalahar who is taking a well-deserved vacation outside the USA). About half the attendance was in person at the Pybus Market Events Center. Thomas Everly again did a great job making the the technology function properly in spite of numerous technical difficulties which we are working to overcome going forward.
