Letters and Reflections from the Frontlines of World War II
With Author Peggy Ludwick
A DOCTOR’S WAR is a unique perspective of war. As a Medical Officer on the frontlines of WWII, responsible for the physical and emotional well-being of traumatized and wounded soldiers, Lt. Col./Maj. Arthur L. Ludwick was engaged in some of North Africa and Italy’s bloodiest battles. This riveting historical narrative is also a daughter’s discovery of the courageous and idealistic young man she never knew, before he became her father.
Dr. Arthur L. Ludwick was a beloved family physician in Wenatchee for over 50 years, taking care of generations of families.
Don't miss this fascinating presentation.

Queen Scarlette Cron, princess Dylan Schmitten and princess Natalie Pearson were introduced by ApplarianGarry Sparks, and all spoke eloquently about their experience representing the festival, and confidently exhibited the theme of "We're all in this Together". Each introduced herself and talked about their families and their plans for the future, easily answering many questions about their experience and future hopes.
President Jill expects us to believe that her matching outfit was coincidental.
ROTARY AT THE MOVIES. Our local Gateway Theater is now showing an ad for the Rotary Clubs of the Wenatchee Valley. Watch the video here. The videos will rotate periodically and will include the QR code shown, leading to a page showing websites of all the Wenatchee clubs.
There may be a Fellowship night soon at the movies.
TOAST AND ROAST RESULTS. President Jill was excited to announce the results shown below, which are net results after expenses.
Based on this success, another such event is being considered next year about the same date.
INTERACT NEWS. Lee Alley has joined with Laurie Flarity-White to work with our Interact Club, announcing a new initiative to raise funds for two worthy causes: The Wenatchee Seekers (Jorge Castaneda), and the WHS Panther Club. Laurie will be taking donations at club meetings through the month of May.
LUNCHES AT MEETINGS. Based on our recent history of subsidized lunches having shown a financial loss to the club, the board voted last week to suspend lunches effective May 1. However, certain members are working on a plan to continue making lunches available.
Another option when meeting at Pybus is to utilize the Pybus restaurants where food can be ordered ahead of the meeting. Click here for info... Pybus Merchants – Pybus Public Market .
